Current Clubs

Student Leadership: The Student Leadership Club is designed for 5th graders who want to explore and enhance their leadership skills. In this club, students participate in activities focused on understanding and practicing the qualities of effective leaders. Members have the chance to contribute to school fundraisers, participate in school projects, and present at assemblies, gaining hands-on experience in leadership roles.

Battle of the Books: Third- and fourth-grade students on this year's Battle of the Books teams gather weekly after school to engage in lively discussions about the selected titles, hone their skills in answering competition questions, and celebrate their shared passion for reading. In April, the teams will showcase their knowledge and enthusiasm at the district-wide Battle of the Books competition.

Video Announcements: The student-run video announcements are a dynamic, weekly tradition where students come together to write, produce, and record the latest school news and updates. Every Friday, the final video is shared with the entire school, keeping everyone informed about upcoming events, achievements, and important reminders. It's a creative opportunity for students to practice teamwork, communication, and media production skills while contributing to their school community. Whether they're behind the camera, on-screen, or writing the script, the team brings energy and enthusiasm to each broadcast.

Inspire Choir: The Inspire Choir at Skyview Elementary School brings together fourth and fifth graders to explore the foundational elements of group singing. This dynamic ensemble emphasizes the importance of blending voices, singing on pitch and in upper registers, and creating a harmonious and unified sound. By engaging with songs that are both fun and educational, the Inspire Choir fosters a love for music while inspiring young singers to develop their vocal abilities. Through this enriching experience, students not only improve their musical skills but also build confidence and a sense of community.
